I had to add some more elements to the highpoly. I really wished I had more time to do more finer details on the sculpt
l
Some more details sculpted
I've been experiencing an odd cripling ear-ache and had to stop working for a bit but here's what I've slowly progressed to
I've gotten to the point of "Am I being too picky?"
In valle umbrae, ubi daemonia latent, ambulamus.
Amen
In the valley of shadows, where demons lie hidden, we walk.
The horrors of the night terrify us, and the murmur of evils is heard.
But you, Lord, eternal light, do not forsake us.
Against the snares of darkness, be our strongest tower.
Grant us strength, that we may stand against evil, and proclaim your victory. Amen
It's getting complicated and I love that it's getting complicated as intended. I'm only afraid of the time sculpting is going to take to add details, cloth, rosary and gothic elements 🤔
When the skies split open and the earth trembled, the world knew that prophecy had been fulfilled-not of one faith, but of all. From the depths of Hell, demons poured forth, not as shadows or whispers, but as flesh and terror, their sole purpose to consume the last remnants of humanity. Cities burned, oceans boiled, and the heavens seemed silent.
Yet, in the face of annihilation, warriors rose. From the deserts, the monks of old chants reforged their sacred weapons. From the mountains, samurai and templars alike donned their shattered armor. From the jungles, shamans called upon forgotten spirits. Priests, imams, rabbis, and mystics all stood as one, wielding the faith of a world that had long since fractured.
The Crusade was no longer of man against man, nor faith against faith-it was against the abyss itself. The holy and the damned met steel against claw, scripture against sorcery, faith against entropy. They called it the Last War.
And though the world stood on the brink of ruin, the warriors fought, not for conquest or dominion, but for the one thing they all still believed in-salvation.
I have the lore of my apocalyptic world so well put together in my head that at this point I'm not creating the gun for the lore. I'm merely a vessel for the the lore to shape its guns 🧐
I'll try to create an gothic arch like sight like this
That's Bible on the Stock and Here's what I'm listening for inspiration 😌
I wished I could spend more time blocking things out before moving on and not resort to mental sketches, but since time is short and I'm working on other tasks simultaneously, That wasn't possible 😃
I'm starting to do clean modeling, I'm experimenting with shapes a lot for now. I'm trying to create a visual mixture of vintage smoother curves in weapons with modern clean cuts and hard-surface stuff.
Did a super dirty block out just to get the proportions figured out in my head, I'm almost done imagining the concept of my gun, I'm super excited about how it's gonna come out!
I'm just worried I might not be able to get it done on time.
There's gonna be a lot of rough metal and wood in the design, a lot of wear and tear and damage which I'm longing to sculpt 😃
Knights of the Day of Wrath
I'm going to try creating a rifle belonging to a group of end-of-times knights, fighting demons that are summoned from hell to end the world. I'll try fusing in gothic and religious elements in the weapon with a rough steel design and some improvised weapon parts! 😃
My reference board is yet to be full and I'm trying to create some basic concept with shapes and forms for the rifle before moving on to gathering specific references I need
