For the Sierra Division challenge, I’m bringing to life a post-apocalyptic version of the SAF Carbine. This has been a passion project of mine for a while, and finally getting the chance to build it feels awesome. I want to push my creativity and make something that looks and feels like it belongs in a gritty, lawless world.
My design keeps things rugged and functional-reinforced wooden stock with an iron rod and steel caps for durability, wrapped in cloth for comfort. A guitar strap serves as a sling, giving it that scavenged, makeshift feel. There’s a holo-sight mounted on a custom scope stand for better accuracy, and a blade attachment under the barrel that doubles as a secondary weapon. I also strapped two mags together with duct tape for faster reloads because, in a post-apocalyptic world, every second counts.
To top it off, I added an eagle skull to the design-it’s not just for looks; it symbolizes survival, dominance, and the scavenger spirit of a world gone to hell. The skull even has an integrated eyeglass setup, making it both badass and functional. This whole build is the perfect way to push my skills and bring my vision of a true wasteland-ready weapon to life.
