Contessa Nettel Deckrullo Tropical Stereo Camera – Hanna Amer

Update #11h agoLast edited 1h ago

Hi, I am choosing the Contessa nettel Deckrullo Tropical Stereo as my prop. The version I’m modeling is from 1918 for the challenge. Some information about it:

It is a German camera made by Contessa Nettel, which existed in the early 20th century before merging into Zeiss Ikon in 1926.

This camera was likely used by professional photographers. It is a stereoscopic camera, it uses two lenses to take two images at the same time on a glass plate or sheet film. They would later be viewed in a stereoscope.

The Tropical edition was a line of cameras made for humid environments, as it was built with materials like teakwood.

This model has many interesting parts that would be fun to model and texture, like the accordion bellows. I’m starting late on this, but hopefully I get to blocking it out tomorrow.
