Winchester Model 1873 - Gun that Won the West - Colton Force – Colton Force

Update #11h ago

I arrived at this choice because I thought it interesting that when I think personally of the word antique, the Wild West is not the first thing that comes to mind despite being well within the given timeline of 1800-1920. The Winchester Model 1873 was both marketed at the time as and now credited after the fact as the gun that "Won the West". It marked a major leap forward in the mass production of firearms and represents some of the finest craftsmanship and engineering of the 19th century.

My prop will be based largely off of a verified frontier era rifle manufactured in 1886 that both showcases the beautiful craftsmanship of its origin as well as the wear and character that shows its age as an antique
