VIKING VILLAGE:
3D ENVIRONMENT ART CHALLENGE

By entering this challenge, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER THIS CHALLENGE. THIS CHALLENGE IS VOID WHERE RESTRICTED OR PROHIBITED BY LAW.

1. Sponsor

This challenge is sponsored by Sierra Division, Inc. on behalf of itself and its affiliates, with an address at Sierra Division, Inc. 4023 Kennett Pike Suite 50598 Wilmington, DE 19807, U.S.A. (hereinafter "Sierra Division" or "Sponsor").

2. Eligibility

Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age or older to be eligible to participate in this challenge. This challenge is open to individuals only. No team entries and no corporate or institutional entries are permitted in this challenge. Employees of Sponsor, its affiliates, and their respective contractors, service providers and professional advisors connected with this challenge, as well as members of their immediate families and/or households, are NOT eligible to enter.

3. The Challenge

To take part in the Challenge, you will need to join our Discord server as well as our community forum. A Discord account is required to sign into our community forum. Once you are signed in, create a new discussion where you will post the deliverables listed below:

• Work-in-Progress: Share your creative process, including reference gathering, sculpting, texturing, and more.
• A 3D diorama: Viking Village scene.

Final Submissions - Your final entry must include at least:

• 1 Beauty Render: A high-quality render that showcases your Viking Village diorama in full glory.
• 1 Wireframe View: A detailed wireframe to highlight your modeling skills.
• 1 Breakdown View: An insightful look into the textures and materials used, providing a comprehensive understanding of your work.
• Grey Lighting Scene Render: No albedo map. Has Lighting, Normals, Roughness, Metalness. (Detail Lighting if using Unreal Engine.)

Specifications:

• Diorama Scale: Participants can choose the scale they want to work with. Even build a full environment if you wish.
• Minimum submission image resolution: 1920x1080px / JPEG format (maximum 3840x2160).
• All submissions must include your legal name, the title of your work, and the Challenge logo.

Challenge Rules

• Challengers must submit their best Viking Village diorama, including WIPs and wireframe, breakdown and render by November 29 at 23:30 UTC.
• Challengers must be 18 years of age or older.
• Registration is free but required to enter. All challengers need a Discord account to register, join the Sierra Division Discord Server, and join our Community Forum. Registration begins on October 14, 2024.
• Challengers may sign up all the way up to the conclusion of the Challenge, but the rest of the rules must be adhered to.
• Artwork submitted must be original work created by the artist for this specific challenge. No existing or previous project can be submitted.
• Work-in-progress images must be shared in your own forum thread throughout the creation process (reference gathering, high poly, sculpting, low poly, texturing, etc.). Submissions without WIP images will not be accepted.
• Final submissions must include: 1 Beauty Render, 1 Wireframe, 1 Breakdown view of textures/materials of the asset, and a Grey Lighting Scene Render (no albedo map; has Lighting, Normals, Roughness, Metalness; Detail Lighting if using Unreal Engine). No more than 3 Beauty Renders in total can be submitted. Minimum image resolution 1920x1080, .jpg format (maximum 3840x2160).
• All submissions must include your legal name, the title of your work, and the challenge logo.
• Challengers can work in any stylistic format: realistic, stylized, low-poly, etc.
• All artwork created for the challenge remains the property of the artist. Sierra Division reserves the right to use and share artwork images, with artist credit, for promotional purposes.
• No NSFW. Adult, violent, and political artworks are not allowed.
• You cannot use third-party assets, marketplace assets, Megascans, or AI.
• One entry permitted per challenger.
• Challengers from North Korea, China, Syria, Iran, Cuba, Russia, Crimea, and Brazil, as well as anywhere prohibited by law, will not be considered.
• Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes, excise duties, or fees.
• Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash or substituted with alternate prizes.

Judging

There will be a total of three (3) winners. Sierra Division judges will have the sole authority and discretion to select all the winners, and all decisions of Sierra Division judges will be FINAL. By entering this challenge, you agree to be bound by the decision of the Sierra Division judges.

The prizes are not assignable or transferable. Prizes are subject to change by Sierra Division at any time for any reason and substitutions will be of equal or greater value. Sierra Division is not responsible or liable for the distribution of any prizes once they are sent to the winner. The prizes offered, and the entrants that are successful, are not distinguishable by country and do not hold any bias and are equally attainable for all participating countries and their entrants. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.

5. Entry Period

The entry period for this challenge begins at 10:00 AM PST on October 14th, 2024 and ends at 11:45 PM PST on November 26th, 2024 (the "Entry Period"). Following the entry period, a Sierra Division judge will select and announce the winners of the challenge on or around December 16th, 2024.

6. Winner Announcement; Claiming and Awarding of Prize

The winners of the challenge will be announced on our Discord server on or about December 16th, 2024. Within 7 days following such announcement, the winners will be notified by Sierra Division via email or direct message. To claim the prize, the winner must do the following within 7 days from the date of Sierra Division's notification:

1. Confirm receipt of the notice by email/direct message (which confirmation must be sent from the same email address/account to which the notice was sent).

Within 21 days following its receipt of confirmation from the winner, the digital prizes will be electronically emailed to the email address supplied as part of their challenge submission.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO ALL ENTRANTS: If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim the prize within the specified time period, or if the prize is returned as undeliverable, or if a winner fails to comply with any of the provisions of these Official Rules, such winner will be considered to have forfeited the prize. In such case, the prize will be awarded to the individual who submitted the next best entry as previously determined by Sierra Division.

7. Privacy

By entering this promotion you expressly consent to Sierra Division's collection, processing and use of your personal information that you provide in connection with this promotion (including, but not limited to, disclosure of your name and state of residence on a winners list and making such list available to the public) and under the terms of Sierra Division's privacy policy.

8. Taxes

The winner of this challenge is solely responsible for any and all applicable taxes and government charges that result from his/her receipt and/or use of the prize. Sponsor reserves the right to withhold and deduct such taxes and charges from the prize if and to the extent required by law.

9. Agreements by Entrant

a. By entering this challenge, each entrant agrees and acknowledges that Sponsor and Sponsor Related Parties shall not be responsible or liable for:

• (i) any late, lost, stolen, forged, mutilated, corrupted, incomplete, illegible or misdirected entries;
• (ii) any errors, omissions, misinformation, or misidentification in an entry;
• (iii) any dispute or claim arising from an entrant's participation in this challenge or his/her entry, or his/her receipt, ownership or use of the prize;
• (iv) any computer hardware, software, Internet, network, cable, phone, or other communication or technical errors, failures, malfunctions, interruptions, or delays; or
• (v) any damage to an entrant's or any other person's computer hardware, software or data that results from participation in this challenge or accessing, downloading or using any tools, files, data, software, or other articles or materials in connection with this challenge.

b. By entering this challenge, each entrant agrees and consents to Sponsor's collection, use and retention of his/her personal information for all purposes related to this challenge (including, without limitation, processing and administering entries, sharing an entrant's personal information with Sponsor Related Parties as necessary to conduct and operate this challenge, communicating with and awarding the prize to the winner, making public announcements about the winner, and advertising, promoting and publicizing this challenge).

c. ANY ENTRY THAT IS IN BREACH OF ANY OF THE FOREGOING REPRESENTATIONS AND WARRANTIES OR IS OTHERWISE IN VIOLATION OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES WILL BE DEEMED VOID AND AUTOMATICALLY BE DISQUALIFIED FROM THIS CHALLENGE.

10. Reservation of Rights by Sponsor

Sponsor reserves the right, to the extent permitted by applicable law, to terminate, cancel, modify or suspend this challenge, in whole or in part, if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity of this challenge as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. If this challenge or any web site associated therewith (or any portion thereof) becomes corrupted or otherwise does not permit entry, or if infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, actions by entrants, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes, in Sponsor's sole opinion, corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper operation of this challenge, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by applicable law, to disqualify any individual implicated in such action, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this challenge, in whole or in part.

11. Governing Law; Jurisdiction

These Official Rules are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, U.S.A., without giving effect to its conflicts of law rules. Each entrant hereby submits himself or herself to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts sitting in Wilmington, Delaware, U.S.A.

12. Challenge Information

The Sponsor of this promotion is Sierra Division. The winners will be posted on Sierra Division's social accounts after December 16th, 2024.
